How a Trading Platform Is Built From the Ground Up

To be transparent does not require all of its processes to be visible to the entire world. Certain internal functions may contain elements required to protect brokers from excess complexity, and some functions are accomplished through risk control, monitoring procedures and internal security systems — when they work correctly, they will generally remain unnoticed. When these systems work properly, their ‘invisible’ status will indicate a level of stability rather than a level of ‘secrecy.’ Traders do not need to be involved in managing the infrastructure for this smooth transaction process so they are able to execute trades easily. Likewise, the organization will retain a high degree of internal accountability even though these details are hidden from the trader. Transparency means conveying the principles of the organization’s operation without highlighting the sensitive operational aspects of the operation.

Therefore, trust in the delivery of performance will create a more believable level of trust than that based on ongoing levels of interface “visibility” because most of what a trader can see in the marketplace will be used to protect the things that have the most value to them.
